The Pytlewski Dome in beautiful Lemont, IL was rockin' Saturday night
as 10 players took to the ice for the second week of the Lemont Stiga
league. It was round robin once again, with each guy guaranteed nine
games. And when we say ice, we almost mean it literally. It's mid-May
in the Chicago area, but the temperature outside was only 40 degrees
or so, making the dome a chilly experience. CTHL runner-up Jim Rzonca
was clad in a t-shirt, but showed no ill effects from the
temperature, as he won for the second week in a row. Without further
ado, here are the results:
Jim Rzoncka 9-0 (5 points)
Scott Pytlewski 7-2 (4 points)
Eric Krol 5-4 (3 points)
Bill McDaniel 5-4 (2 points)
Jim Gove 5-4 (1 point)
Joe Salazar 4-5
Mike Malesky 4-5
John Butney 3-6
Matt Soukup 2-7
Jerry Pytlewski 2-7
The league is using a Molson Cup scoring system. Ten guys played
tonight, so divide that by two to get the total number of points for
first. It was parity central, as five players finished either 5-4 or
4-5. Eric Krol won the third-place tiebreaker based on head-to-head
games with Bill McDaniel and Jim Gove. Krol, Gove, Salazar and
Malesky were newcomers. Time to end this. I'm beat. I'll post a two-
week point total in a bit here. Thanks to the Pytlewskis for hosting
a great night of table hockey.
