Hello Table Hockey Fiends! 11 players came out tonight for some Summertime
Stiga Action at Pytlewski's Fantail Gardens here in Lemont Illinois. Ron Marsik
was the clear cut class of the field tonight running the table with a 10-0
record tonight. Ron seems to be more difficult all the time these days.
There were a few games of interest in Lemont the other night. The game of the
night turned out to be Mike Lisowski {4-6} vs Jerry Pytlewski {1-9}. Goofy
Mike starts trash talking before te match. He mouthin something about he's won
3 in a row and starts calling Jerry "Road Kill," taunting him to
get on over and play. Jerry asks, "What's that Mike? Road Kill?" Mike's
laughing all the way! LOL!! Jerry works too hard and puts way too much time
into this LTHL to take the dis taunts. Game gets on and Goofy Mike's up 2-1
with under 30 seconds to play. Mr. Pytlewski {Do'er} scores a game tier
sending the game into overtime! The entire garage erupted joyously chanting
Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! About a minuite and a half into overtime, Mike Lisowski
became Jerry's Road Kill Bitch! The place went MAD!!!!! Jerry's claim to his
6.5 minutes of FAME was his seemingly magic goaltender, who made over 20 saves
in this match! Mike got the puck to the net time and time again. But Jerry
made save after save after his d men getting beat most everytime! OK, back to
reality. The top 2 players of the night were #1 RON MARSIK and #2 ROB CHARGO.
A look at the games between top players: Marsik 3, Chargo 0...Marsik 3, Rzonca
2...Chargo 4, Rzonca 0...Marsik 3, Jeff Thill 2 in OT...Jimbo 5, Mikey 1...and
Jeff Thill 4, Adam Thill 3 in OT. Not just any OT, but over 8 minutes of
overtime! Thats 3x the longest overtime we've seen in 2 years of LTHL action.
Great game. Big Story though, is Ron Marsik was on and unbeatable on this
night. He's very tough right now. P.S. Nothing broke tonight. It would appear
that the tiny bomber was, and still is, missing in action.
